Ulrike's Last Stand

As per tradition, Labardichian artists portrayed the warring nations as creatures of fantasy. The reality was quite different and neither was the army of Hexuandria made up of monsters (at least not physically) nor was Saint Ulrike Beauchamp de Narva, the head of the Labardichian Blue Guard, in possession of any magical powers. What she did possess, however, was a towering physique and martial prowess that made her feared by the enemies of Labardiche. As a sign of respect, after her death during the siege of Narva, her body was sent back to the Pope in one piece, instead of the usual Hexuandrian practice of quartering and leaving the remains impaled on pikes.
